  • Bio

I am a board-certified Interventional Radiologist, and my interests are in primary aldosteronism (Conn's syndrome, uterine fibroid disease, IVC filter retrieval, minimally invasive organ biopsy, and tumor embolization. I graduated from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School with the distinction of being inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha, the nation’s only medical honors society. I completed surgical internship at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN and completed my Diagnostic Radiology residency and Interventional Radiology fellowship at the University of Chicago.

I joined the faculty at Loma Linda University Medical School in California prior to returning to my roots in New Jersey.  I am actively involved in the training of our future diagnostic and interventional radiology physicians as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Radiology and Medicine at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. I have presented my academic work at national and international radiology meetings. I was recognized by my peers as a Top Doctor in NJ Monthly magazine in 2020. I am a member of American College of Radiology, Medical Society of NJ, and Middlesex County Medical Society.

Leadership roles that I currently serve include the Chair of Radiology at St. Michael’s Medical Center in Newark, NJ and the Chair of the Quality Committee for my radiology practice. I volunteer my time as a trustee for the Alumni Association of Rutgers New Jersey Medical School and as a kindergarten class parent for the Livingston Huaxia Chinese School.

    Philosophy of Care:

I believe in patient-centered care, and I believe that knowledge empowers my patients. I counsel patients on their options ranging from an aggressive approach to conservative management. During the procedure, I am very attentive to pain control and the patient experience. Although the minimally invasive procedures I perform are routine for my staff and me, I recognize that any procedure causes anxiety for my patients. I find that such face-to-face time with my patients prior to procedures lowers anxiety and increases their satisfaction and improves outcomes.

    Clinical Interests

Adrenal Venous Sampling, Parathyroid Venous Sampling, Petrosal Venous Sampling, Thyroid Imaging and Biopsies, Bone Densitometry, Minimally-Invasive Image Guided Biopsies, Chemotherapy Port placement, Percutaneous Gastrostomy, Perctuaneous Abscess Drainage, Percutaneous Cholecystostomy, Percutaneous Nephrostomy, Percutaneous Biliary Interventions, Transjugular Intrahepatic Portosystemic Shunt (TIPS), Uterine Fibroid Embolization (UFE), Complex IVC filter retrieval.
