    Dr. Geller is a nationally recognized epileptologist and is board certified in neurology and clinical neurophysiology. He joined Cooperman Barnabas in 1998 from the internationally acclaimed Cleveland Clinic Foundation where he was a member of the Department of Neurology, Section of Epilepsy and Sleep Disorders and Head of the Intra-operative Monitoring and Evoked Potentials Program. Dr. Geller’s major research interest includes epilepsy surgery and diagnostic testing as well as treatments of epilepsy including the vagus nerve stimulator, an implantable system designed to prevent or stop certain kinds of seizures. He is principal investigator for the Neuropace Responsive Neurostimulator System trial at Cooperman Barnabas and co-investigator on the Epilepsy Phenome-Genome Project. Dr. Geller received his undergraduate degree from Princeton University and medical degree from Brown University. He did his neurology residency at Harvard Medical School and his epilepsy fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic. He has been named as a Top Doctor in the NY Metro Area in the Castle Connolly survey since 2004 and by New York Magazine. Dr. Geller is also the chairman of the Epilepsy Foundation of New Jersey Professional Advisory Board, and a member of the Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center Bio-ethics Committee.
