The Child Life Department Internship Program at The Children's Hospital of New Jersey at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center

This child life internship is currently on pause and not accepting applications until further notice.

• 16 week, full-time internship, totaling 600 hours
• Offered Spring and Fall semesters
• Follows ACLP deadlines

Acceptance Criteria

• Completed core courses within an accredited institution (in progress forms accepted)
• Complete a course taught by a Certified Child Life Specialist prior to applying
• Complete 100 hours of volunteer experience or a practicum with a Child Life Program prior to applying
• Must be affiliated with a university
• Interview with the Child Life Department and Director

Application packet must include:

• Completed Common Child Life Internship Application form
• Transcripts from all colleges/universities attended (unofficial accepted)
• 3 letters of recommendation: letters preferred, ACLP form accepted
• Resume
• A copy of your ACLP Eligibility Assessment Report

Application Deadlines

• Fall Semester- March 15^th
• Spring Semester- September 5^th
