The Children’s Heart Center at CHoNJ at NBIMC is the state's largest, most comprehensive, and only heart center offering a complete range of diagnosis and medical and surgical treatment of children with heart problems, as well as expectant mothers whose fetus may have a heart problem. Our patient-centric approach to care delivery provides patients with a network of comprehensive cardiovascular and thoracic care options, produces results which exceed national quality benchmarks, features the latest technology and innovative trials, and ensures the best team of clinicians will be by your side whether your child is getting an EKG or open-heart procedure.

Our Heart, Vascular and Thoracic Specialists

Whether your child has congenital heart disease, or any type of vascular or thoracic disorder, we are here for you with our multidisciplinary teams comprised of pediatric-boarded clinicians specializing in cardiology, pediatric cardiology, pediatric imaging and radiology, pediatric emergency medicine, interventional cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, vascular surgery, anesthesiology, and echocardiography who also work closely with our adult structural heart team; alongside our dedicated nurses (general pediatrics, pediatric intensive care, and a regional Level IV perinatal center NICU that offers New Jersey’s first Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) therapy---the highest level of intensive care for both mothers and newborns), technicians, pharmacists, physical therapists, social workers, child life specialists and staff, are all ready to take care of you and your child’s needs. Our teams are able to deliver comprehensive, compassionate care that uses evidence-based guidelines, as well as leading-edge noninvasive, invasive, diagnostic, and therapeutic techniques and therapies.
